thePlatform Appoints Two Executives to VP Posts
SEATTLE, December 3, 2007
thePlatform, a leading “white-label” broadband video publishing company, announced today that it has promoted two executives from within the company’s ranks to VP posts. Alex Glass will assume the role of Vice President, Operations and Marty Roberts has been appointed Vice President of Marketing.
In his new position as VP of Operations, Alex will manage the entire lifecycle of thePlatform’s systems and networks, working to constantly improve the reliability and scalability of the company’s services. As VP of Marketing, Marty will lead the company’s marketing team and overall communications strategies, formulate messaging, launch new products and drive overall awareness of thePlatform’s brand.

Before becoming the VP of Operations, Alex Glass worked with thePlatform as a Solutions Architect, the Director of Customer Service, and the VP of Client Services. Prior to joining thePlatform, Alex was with Digeo, Inc. where he worked as both a Project and Program Manager responsible for the deployment of an interactive television personal video recorder.
Before joining thePlatform, Marty Roberts held product management and marketing roles at RealNetworks and at GiftCertificates.com. During his 10 years of experience, he developed strategies, built relationships with development organizations and created new products and services that increased the customer base and profitability of both companies. Marty joined thePlatform in 2006 as Director of Marketing.
thePlatform currently provides online video publishing and management for a host of well known consumer brands, including: BBC, CNBC, CBS’ College Sports TV, Court TV, Comcast, Gannett, Hearst, Helio, HIT Entertainment, PBS KIDS Sprout, PRIMEDIA, Scripps, Sony/BMG Music, Vongo, Telstra, Verizon Wireless and dozens of other companies.
