Goodmail Systems

Goodmail Systems is the creator of CertifiedEmail™, the industry’s standard class of email. CertifiedEmail provides a safe and reliable means for consumers to easily identify authentic email messages from legitimate commercial and nonprofit email senders.

Each CertifiedEmail is sent with a cryptographically secure token that assures authenticity. A unique blue ribbon envelope icon in the inbox designates messages that are real and sent from email senders with whom users have a pre-existing relationship.

CertifiedEmail is the only class of email available that assures:

• All opt-in e-mail messages are delivered to the inbox
• Links and images are automatically rendered intact
• Embedded multi-dimensional applications like Goodmail’s CertifiedVideo™ for streaming video are included in the email

Currently, most email clients remove JavaScript™ and video from messages for security reasons. Goodmail developed a CertifiedVideo plug-in to thePlatform’s Player Development Kit (PDK) that enables the highest possible level of recipient engagement, including letting email senders embed thePlatform’s player into email messages. The sender has the option of setting the player to start playing the content automatically, with or without sound (un-mute mode). If the un-mute mode is enabled, an overlay button is shown. When the recipient clicks on the overlay button or un-mutes the volume, the plug-in removes the overlay button, un-mutes the player, and replays video content.
