LiveRail AdServer is a client-supported advertising campaign management system that can be easily deployed with thePlatform’s video player technology through a SWF plug-in component. When the LiveRail plug-in is added to a player canvas, it takes control of the player as soon as it encounters a media item whose path points to http://www.liverail.com. Then the plug-in interrupts the current playback flow, requests ads from the server, and displays them in the player according to the instructions in the plug-in. The plug-in has control over decisions concerning:

• What the request for an ad to the LiveRail ad campaign management system looks like
• What exactly to do with that request
• What the player does with the response
