Total Training adds broadband distribution
In 1996 Total Training launched their first video series “Total AE,” which received an enormously popular reception. At the time it was the only training solution for Adobe After Effects, and Total Training eventually expanded their offering and packaged their training series with all Adobe products.
Total Training has been distributing their training via CD-ROM, but also wanted to add broadband progressive download as a distribution option. They interviewed three systems integrators, and selected Cypress Consulting, a partner of thePlatform, to design a solution.
Cypress is focused on producing successful, high impact rich media, video, and social networking initiatives. Using their established best practices—consulting, technology, and design—Cypress tied a new e-commerce system to an existing CD-ROM commerce system , and developed subscription and activation codes for Total Training’s production staff to use.
Cypress then integrated the systems with thePlatform’s media publishing system so Total Training could create user accounts, apply subscription licenses and digital rights management, and use our Feeds Service.
On May 4th, Total Training launched the new broadband distribution system in conjunction with the new Adobe CS3 upgrade, and will progressively provide broadband distribution for their other Adobe product training series over time.
