Multi-Screen Delivery Strategies: Ian Blaine moderates NCTA panel
Consumers want a lot of choice in how they get their media. But they also want the experience to be easy, which means that networks and content providers are faced with making the multiplatform landscape navigable.
The new media world is now on three screens: television, Internet, and mobile video. At NCTA in New Orleans this month, our CEO Ian Blaine will be moderating the panel Here, There and Everywhere: Strategies for Multi-Screen Content Delivery. Program network executives will discuss approaches for moving beyond the living-room-only viewing experience, and will offer their insights on what works, where they're heading, and how customers are responding to the changes.
Panelists include:
- Deanna Brown, Scripps Networks
- KC Estenson, The Walt Disney Company
- Joe Fiveash, The Weather Channel Companies
- David Payne, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.
The session will be on Monday, May 19th from 1:45 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. in room 220 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
You can get more information on the panel and other sessions at the The Cable Show '08 web site. And be sure to stop by the CableNET showcase to see a demo of our integration with Cisco Systems that gives service providers a mechanism for seamless delivery of broadband video to multiple screens.
